Four boats sailed 4 races today.
- Jim, from Cooper River, won the day with 7 points
- George Bader in 2nd with 8 points
- Roger Kunkel in 3rd and
- Jeremy Wenig in 4th (the only one sailing with a radial rig).
Bart Bash Regatta
September 20, 2015
7 boats entered the regatta, the afternoon was warm with the perfect breeze, 8 to 12 knots.
- Glenn Smyth Jr sailing a Laser lead from the start in his LaMans style start (a very late arrival meant running like mad to launch with help from our Stewards of the day).
- Next to cross the finish line was J22 Hank & Jill Croft with their new crew Sheila D.
- They were followed by Lightning 14890, Keppel/Hoffer;
- then Sails Force George Bader;
- Mike Bolf on a J80;
- Allan Crew sailing his Lightning 14699 and
- Mark Evans with a spinnaker halyard malfunction on his J22. Did anyone really win?
When back on the pier Allan Crew let us all know that we rounded the wrong mark! D'oh! Is that appropriate in a Bart's Bash event?
Overnight Pursuit Race

6 boats inched along in little breeze until around 8:00 pm when a lovely 4-6 knot breeze whisked the boats around the course.
