
RYC will be hosting a
Coast Guard Captain's School
This is the required 56 hours of instruction and the Coast Guard test required for you to get a Coast Guard Captain's license to Operate Un-Inspected Passenger Vessals, OUPV or six pack. Presented by The Captain School.
You still need to have 360 days on the water, a first aid / CPR certificate, a physical and drug screen, and get a Transportation Worker Identification Credential in addition to the course and passing the test. The Coast Guard defines a day as at least 4 hours
The cost for the course is $595.
The course will be held at RYC, starting all day on Saturday 4-11 and continuing evenings Monday 4-12 though Friday 4-16, another full day Saturday 4-17, another week of evenings 4-19 though 4-23, skipping the 20th and finishing with a full day on the 24th when you take the test. You have to attend all the sessions
