Riverton Steamboat Landing Foundation
Annual Appeal 2009

The RSLF was established eleven years ago to preserve our historic pier before it was washed away along with the building.

We have been fortunate to receive grants that have allowed us to rebuild the front two thirds of the pier, replace the walkway, and restore and improve the historic building. We have re-lighted the exterior, restored the original color scheme, waterproofed the upper deck, restored the upstairs, renovated the bathrooms, and renovated the kitchen. The sewer, water and electrical services were upgraded and a sprinkler system was installed.

Why is the RSLF asking you for money? We need to set savings aside to maintain the building and make the necessary upgrades to preserve this historic landmark and sailing facility. The first time the building was painted, it cost $18,000. It needs to be painted every five to seven years. That is just one of the many maintenance projects that need to be tackled. We cannot count on grants to keep paying for this work. Your donation is vital to the longevity of our historic gem on the river.

Please consider a donation of $100. Any donation you make is tax deductible.
