Captain's Engine Seminar

Riverton Yacht Club

Get a basic understanding and overview of Diesel Engine Technology. Topics will include:

• Early warning signs.

• What does the colors of the exhaust tell us?

• What does an engine oil sample tell us?

• Oil change and fuel filter change.

• Scheduled maintenance and more.

The seminar will be given by Uwe Mewes and John Burns. Uwe was commissioning engineer for Main Engine Bridge Control Systems at AEG Telefunkens shipbuilding division in Hamburg, Germany, automizing ship diesels of up to 35000 hp. "They were as big as our club house," says Uwe.
